SAA launches special upgrade fares for loyal customers from Sydney

It’s now even better value to “turn left”!

South African Airways (SAA) has announced some great value deals for passengers wanting to experience business class between Sydney and Johannesburg.

According to Tim Clyde-Smith, SAA’s Country Manager for Australasia, the new “upgrade” fare will enable passengers holding an economy class ticket to upgrade for $2,200 one way and $3,800 return.*

“This is a great value fare which is on sale now,” Tim said.

“The upgrade fare is available to passengers holding tickets for outbound travel on SA7701 Sydney to Johannesburg and/or SA7700 from Johannesburg to Sydney between now and July 31, 2013. The fares are available for sale until June 30, 2013,” he said.

“Passengers can request the upgrade fare through their travel agents prior to commencement of travel. They are subject to availability and apply only to travel between Sydney and Johannesburg.”

“Passengers will also attract frequent flyer points at the higher business class rate, even more of an incentive to fly in business.”

“We’re already seeing great interest in our new upgrade fare deal from the travel trade and we’re confident more and more Aussies can take advantage of “the pointy end” of the aircraft by flying with SAA,” Tim concluded.

*Only applicable to normal SAA fares published and purchased in Australia.

SAA has daily non-stop flights between Sydney and Perth to Johannesburg, with direct connections to the largest network in Africa. SAA is consistently voted the 'Best Airline & Cabin Crew in Africa' winning it for the 16th consecutive year in the Travel Weekly Globe Awards in London. SAA took out top honours at the recent WTA awards in London, with three awards in the Africa category. SAA is a member of STAR, the world’s largest alliance which offers more than 21,500 daily flights to 1,356 airports in 193 countries.
