Backyard Travel Release New Tour: Discover Bangkok & Angkor Wat

Backyard Travel, Asia’s most innovative tour company, has released news of a sensational new multi-country trip which allows travelers the chance to enjoy the rousing highlights of Bangkok and Siem Reap led by expert local guides.

The five-day, four-night tour gives travelers the chance to experience both the old and new of the bustling
Thai capital before flying to Siem Reap where they can spend time investigating the ancient Angkor Wat temple complex.

During their time in Bangkok, travelers can take their pick of exciting experiences led by a local expert guide, selecting from either the Bangkok Temple Tour to visit the famous Wat Pho and majestic Grand Palace; a Chinatown Tour to see the strong connection of Thailand and Chinese culture; or travelers can opt for a cruise along the Chao Phraya River to see the scenic riverside and many of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks.

Once in Siem Reap travelers will again be led by a seasoned local Backyard Travel guide to discover arguably the world’s most magnificent temples. An expert guide will take travelers to Angkor Wat at a time perfect for avoiding the crowds to allow a more relaxed viewing of the increasingly popular attraction.

While in Siem Reap travelers will also have the opportunity to take part in some insider-experiences in Hariharalaya where they can discover the lesser-seen Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko temples and have the unique opportunity to be blessed by a local monk at a pagoda in the village. On the final day of the multi-country tour, travelers will have the chance to take a trip to Tonlé Sap Lake and learn about the local floating villages.

“We’re delighted to reveal the details of this fascinating new multi-country tourwhich takes in the must-see sites and attractions of Bangkok and Siem Reap,” said Backyard Travel’s General Manager Maeve Nolan. “As well as the iconic sites, we have assembled this cross-border adventure to include various insider experiences that we’re certain will delight travelers who yearn for more than the average tourist trail.”
