Cathay Pacific First Class set for fresh new look

The First Class cabin on Cathay Pacific’s Boeing 777-300 fleet is about to get a new look and feel, with the first of the refurbished aircraft to enter service on the 27 July.

Listening to feedback from their Marco Polo Club members, Cathay Pacific brought in renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners to help incorporate elements of the newly refurbished First Class Lounge at The Wing. The new look seats will feature a glossy dark grey textured material on the outer surface of the suite, warm-toned natural leather for most of the interior surfaces and a plush burgundy carpet in the aisle. The seats will also be refitted with a custom-made fabric that is soft and smooth to touch.

Guests will also notice new features for comfort such as more room inside the personal closet, a new basin and counter top in the lavatory, a new touch-screen controller for adjusting the seat, bespoke reading lights, high-quality Bose Quiet Comfort headphones, completely redesigned bedding and a new sleep suit from Hong Kong company Pye.
