Movie set in Portugal for Bollywood To which extent movies help destinations to grow?

image005The AIM Portugal team has just completed a full 10-day project working with a movie crew from India.

What started as a meeting over a cup of tea in Mumbai, the AIM team and Rengarajan Jaiprakash (JP) from AA Globe Services scoped out a project to film a movie in Portugal.  AA Globe (the film solution provider) was searching for a location with beautiful scenery, welcoming people – and of course advantageous pricing – and Lisbon & the Algarve was the winning combination.

This first contact resulted in a fruitful partnership between Portugal and India.

The AIM Portugal team took care of every detail to ensure that their filming was as efficient as possible and that the film crew was taken care of during their entire trip.   Now, the AIM Portugal team eagerly awaits to see the movie Balupu (a Telugu action film starring Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan and Anjali) to be reminded of this great project and of the opportunity they had to share their beautiful surroundings with new friends on another side of the world.

Movies capture a culture and a country so well that you can get inspired for your next travel.

Do you remember “Out of Africa”, “French Kiss”, “Breaveheart” .... movie locations remind of some places to visit and now Lisbon and the Algarve will inspire the indian  travel groups!
