Sydney's Newest Small Bar Tour - Eat/Drink/Walk Sydney

An exciting new walking tour is delving into Sydney's emerging small bar scene and taking locals on an exploration of hidden venues scattered through the Central Business District.

The tour, by Two Feet & a Heartbeat, aims to get locals engaged with the small bars flourishing in traditionally underutilised spaces like laneways and basements.

Established in Perth, Two Feet has been conducting popular guided walking tours since 2007 and has been recognised as leaders in Heritage and Cultural Tourism, winning multiple Gold medals at the WA Tourism Awards and being named finalists, twice, at the National Tourism Awards.

Two Feet's Ryan Zaknich said the Eat, Drink, Walk Sydney tour was a fun, relaxed and sophisticated way to re-engage with the city at night, when workers traditionally exited the city after work hours.

"The tour attracts a wide range of people with a desire for choices. Having more options creates a safer and more interesting late night CBD," Zaknich said."Until recently, Perth workers fled the city at 5.00pm and headed to the suburbs. We began the Eat, Drink, Walk Perth tour as a one month trial 4 years ago, however it was so well received by locals that we kept it permanently and have conducted sold out tours, three nights per week ever since.

531768"The trends in Sydney's small bar scene are remarkably similar to Perth, and we believe that Sydneysiders will embrace the recent liquor reforms championed by now Sydney Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, that has helped to birth dozens of quirky establishments.

"During the tour, guests will visit three unique small bars, spending about 45 minutes in each venue. Upon arrival at each bar, guests will be provided with a sample of the house specialties, which can range from mulled wine in teapots to espresso martinis, cocktails, single malt whiskey, homemade corn chips and guacamole or dumplings. In between venues, short strolls will identify many other venues you would have difficulty finding on your own.

Group sizes are limited to 12 people to provide an intimate experience. The tour runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and takes approximately 3 hours. The cost is $50 per person and tours begin at 6.30pm outside of Wynyard Station. Bookings are essential and can be made
