Jakarta Food and Fashion Festival 2014 showcases Indonesia's rising Food and Culinary Scene

The celebrated annual Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival will once again light up the capital city, Jakarta, when JIFF returns to the capital city in May 2014.

Organized by Summarecon Agung inc., the grand festivity of clothing and the gamut of culinary presentations will take place at Sentra Kelapa Gading, Jl.Boulevard Kelapa Gading, Blok M, in North Jakarta.

As in previous festivals, the event will feature three main highlights, which are: a Fashion Extravaganza, a Food Festival, and the Gading Nite Carnival. Fashion Extravaganza will showcase a variety of ready to wear fashion from renowned brands and designers, independent designers, young emerging designers, and more through a series of fashion and trade shows. There will also be talent shows and a fashion awarding session.

The Food Festival is an appreciation of the abundance of Indonesia's traditional culinary delights, at the same time a media to taste various international cuisines. The mix of traditional and international tastes is presented at the "Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe" or the "Old Village" which offers authentic Indonesian traditional cuisines from across the Indonesian archipelago, placed side by side with the Wine and Cheese Expo. Adding to the excitement, there will also be a Cheese Run which is a unique race.

As in previous editions, the entire series of Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival will be open with a grand night fiesta of Gading Night Carnival (GNC). Hailed as the pioneer of night carnivals in the country, the GNC will present a spectacular parade around Sentra Kelapa Gading.

JFFF is a collaboration between Summarecon Agung inc. and the Provincial Government of Jakarta with the full support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Ministry of Trade. The festival was first held in 2004 and continues its mission to raise awareness of Indonesia's Fashion and Food in the international scene.
