Guest Numbers & Revenue Show Steady Growth at Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah

CBR 1Following an awesome October when guest occupancy reached 95 per cent, management at the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah is predicting a strong end to 2013, with continued growth in leisure traffic, particularly from the CIS market (Commonwealth of Independent States).

According to Jean-Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Northern Emirates, Coral Hotels & Resorts, “We have had a great month that helped us close the books with the highest RevPAR (revenue per available room) in Sharjah. Following the trend, we are therefore, expecting exceptional Q4 results and foresee a ‘house-full’ until the end of the year”.

Underlying this remarkable performance is the enduring appeal of Coral Beach Resort - Sharjah – a competitively-priced sun-kissed pearl located on a picturesque private beach. The hotel enjoyed an average occupancy of 90 per cent in the first half of the year, followed by a comparatively slow summer.

Mr Simon pointed out “Guest numbers bounced back with receding summer.

A key contributor is the consistent growth in airline capacity to the UAE.

For instance, Air Arabia increased its passenger loads overall by 16 per cent in the first half of 2013 while upping the number of services from Ukraine to Sharjah from seven to 17 weekly services this month. FlyDubai too has doubled its network in Russia and introduced additional flights from Ukraine this year.”

“Our superior product facilities and standards has given us an excellent reputation in key markets that in turn helps Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah in retaining its pre-eminent position as one of the emirate’s leading hotels,” claimed Mr Simon.

He further added: “We are confident our outstanding beach location, superb service offering and range of activities will continue to appeal to both our existing markets in Russia and the CIS States, Western Europe and the GCC as well as help us drive business from emerging destinations. New markets will come on-stream as Sharjah tourism authorities continue their work to widen the appeal of the emirate positioning it strongly on the world map as a family and cultural destination.

The Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah features 156 spacious rooms, many with panoramic sea-view. A major attraction is the wide repertoire of dining options with menus to cater to every taste. The resort is located on one of the emirate’s principal sand beaches and features a range of leisure activities for all ages, including the Rimal Club, state-of-the-art fitness centre, children’s pool, indoor playroom and complimentary Kid’s Club as well as tennis (By Clark Francis Tennis Academy), badminton, volleyball and two outdoor swimming pools.
