Six new properties have joined the Relais & Châteaux family

Our extended, international Relais & Châteaux family has become even larger with the addition of 6 new properties from 5 different countries: France, Switzerland, Greece, India and China.

As it approaches its 60thanniversary, Relais & Châteaux offers unprecedented opportunities to experience flavours from all around the world with six authentic new unique experiences.
Places of exceptional historic interest sit side by side with sleek, modern architecture, glorious countryside offers magnificent new vistas, the Maîtres de Maison, chefs and sommeliers breathe soul into these properties and kindle a passion for the Relais & Châteaux Art de Vivre.
Maison d’Uzès: a historic experience (Gard, France)
image016Uzès, on the road between Avignon and Nîmes, is steeped in History. As it is in historical stories telling of its past as a Bishopric, then a Viscounty, a County and finally a Duchy. Maison d’Uzès is a proud, living embodiment of this turbulent past. After four years of meticulous restoration, this property can now open up whole chapters of a forgotten past. Here, a 17th-century staircase with twisted balusters leads to eight, sophisticated, light-drenched guest rooms and four suites; there, the steps of a back stair lead to the roof of this Historical Monument of France; a little lower down, a Spa offers wellness treatments under Romanesque vaulting, where traces of the foundations of Gallo-Greek walls can still be seen; this property exudes a secluded and delicately contemporary atmosphere in which guests feel honoured to be invited into this family home... An incredible trip back in time.
Hotel Restaurant Mammertsberg: a haven of peace, overlooking LakeConstance (Switzerland)
image018Hotel Restaurant Mammertsberg, standing majestically in the middle of a vast expanse of grassland, with panoramic views of the sparkling waters ofLake Constance, is a picture-postcard property in the canton of Thurgau, with natural wood, earthen floors and white-washed façade. Chef August Minikus has presided over its kitchens for more than 10 years, and serves finely crafted, light, inventive seasonal cuisine. His infinite variety of dishes can be accompanied by the perfect wine from the multi-faceted cellar, built up by Luisa Minikus, sommelier and Maitre de Maison, which includes a range of wines, from Bordeaux, Spain, not forgetting Switzerland. To these culinary delights are added the joys of the three secluded guestrooms and three suites, all comfortably furnished in the best possible taste. An exceptional hideaway.
Wellness Hotel Chasa Montana: Edelweiss for skiing families and friends (Switzerland)
image020250 km of slopes, 43 ski lifts, 180 cable car seats… The Silvretta Arena Samnaun/Ischgl offers the largest ski resort in the eastern Alps and is home to the tiny family village of Samnaun with its Wellness Hotel Chasa Montana. This unique resort caters to all individual needs and desires, with 45 guestrooms and 10 suites, more than 1500 m² of wellness area, beauty salon, four restaurants, two bars and kids’ club… It offers the perfect opportunity for a memorable skiing experience in winter and summer alike.
Myconian Utopia Resort: happiness, gazing out at sea (Greece)
image022Just like the Myconian Ambassador, the Myconian Utopia Resort overlooks the Aegean sea. Its terraced architecture, contemporary cubes linked by passageways, overlooks one of the most popular beaches in Mykonos. Where better to unwind than in this Olympian calm, under the expert care of the Spa or, lulled by the sea air, taking a siesta in one of the 15 guestrooms and 20 suites, all modern and immaculately appointed. Get away from it all beside the deep blue sea.
Mihir Garh: a romantic introduction to the sumptuous culture of Rajasthan (India)
image024The Mihir Garh or ‘Fortress of the Sun’ rises majestically from the middle of the desert, 45 minutes to the south of Jodhpur. A castle made of sand, the brainchild of Rohet Garh. A romantic getaway created to celebrate the culture of Rajasthan. Legendary hospitality, infinitely varied cuisine and multi-faceted culture. This becomes instantly apparent. The private terraces and/or pools of the nine immense suites of this boutique hotel overlook never-ending vistas of the surrounding countryside. Its sunsets are the stuff of lasting memories, locally crafted antiques and mirrors nestle in every nook and cranny… A waking dream, for couples.
Brilliant Resort and Spa Kunming: offering the opportunity for a wellness break (China)
image026A hot-water spring is simply one more gift offered by the surrounding countryside; the Spa provides volcanic hot-oil treatment, yoga or tai chi classes are practised in perfect harmony with nature, a Pu’er tea ceremony is performed with artistic precision... Each experience offered by the Brilliant Resort and Spa Kunming has wellness stamped all over it. It also boasts comfortable villas with 23 guestrooms and suites, nestling under the blue skies, next to Yangzong Lake and the private pool. Peace reigns throughout.
