Auberge Resorts to rebrand Nanuku Fiji

Renowned US Resort Operator Expands to the South Pacific

US-based Auberge Resorts Collection has announced its expansion into the South Pacific via its management acquisition of Nanuku Resort & Spa, the first all-villa luxury boutique resort to be built on Fiji's main island of Viti Levu.

As part of the acquisition, the California-based company has re-branded the property as Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji.

Announcing the acquisition, Auberge Resorts Collection CEO, Craig T. Reid, said the resort had set a new benchmark in new standards of luxury accommodation in Fiji when it opened last March.

"We are delighted to bring the Auberge brand to the Fiji Islands," he said.

"The newly rebranded Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji is a gem of a South Seas resort embracing all the requisite Auberge hallmarks: sensational locale, exceptional service and cuisine and guest experiences that inspire a sense of discovery."

"This is a natural partnership and an exciting addition to the Auberge Resorts Collection portfolio."

Mr Reid said that the company's plans for the resort include home sites for five private beachfront residences that will be developed and offered for purchase.

Turnkey plans call for each residence to be oriented toward the shore, with indoor-outdoor layouts that he said would embrace Fiji's tropical lifestyle.

The residences will be managed by Auberge Resorts Collection with owners able to make them available for rent.

"The residences offer a rare home ownership opportunity in Fiji where just nine per cent of land is available for private residential ownership," Mr Reid said.

Headquartered in Mill Valley, California, Auberge Resorts Collection owns and operates boutique luxury hotels, resorts, residences and private clubs in the US, Mexico and Anguilla in the British West Indies.

These include Auberge du Soleil, Calistoga Ranch and VieVage in California's Napa Valley; Hotel Jerome in Aspen and The Auberge Residences at Element 52, Telluride, Colorado; Pronghorn Resort, Bend, Oregon; Esperanza, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and Malliouhana, Anguilla.
