Wotif.com reveals NSW's most popular places of 2011

2011 Top Spots in NSW

Sydney has held on to the number one spot in Wotif.com's annual Australian top destinations list for the ninth year in the row.

The list is based on more than 250,000 bookings per month by Wotif.com customers in 2011.

New South Wales had five destinations in the top 20 Australian list including Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

General Manager Wotif Brands Megan Magill said the biggest change to the NSW 2011 list compared to 2010 was Albury and Wollongong changing places.

"Wollongong snuck back up to sixth place in 2011, swapping with Albury," Ms Magill said.

"Dubbo also crept back onto the top ten list for New South Wales last year after losing out to Port Stephens in 2010," she said.

Queensland continued to be the most represented state, with eight destinations in the top 20.
