Wyndham Hotel Group Expands Ramada Brand on Gold Coast

Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN), today announced the addition of Marina Quays International at Hope Island on Australia's Gold Coast to the company's expanding portfolio of Ramada® properties.

Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour, Gold Coast is currently undergoing an extensive $4 million refurbishment and is scheduled to open in December this year. Owned by Anthony Moreton Group, the resort will be managed through Wyndham Hotel Group's South East Asia and Pacific Rim operations, based on Queensland's Gold Coast. It will become the second Ramada to open in the area over the past two years following the addition of Ramada Couran Cove Island Resort in July 2013.

Ramada Hope Harbour will join Wyndham Hotel Group's robust portfolio of more than 30 South East Asia and Pacific Rim Ramada hotels at a time of unprecedented growth for the brand in the region. Earlier this year, the Hotel Group announced the brand's expansion into Fiji with the signing of Ramada Suites Smugglers Cove. The brand's existing presence in Australia includes resorts in Phillip Island, Dandenong, Ballina, Diamond Beach, Shoal Bay, Couran Cove, Marcoola Beach and Port Douglas.

"The Gold Coast is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations and a key Australian city for both leisure and business travel,” said Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director for Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim. “We have been actively seeking to expand the Ramada brand here and are delighted to announce this partnership with Anthony Moreton Group for Ramada Hope Harbour.”
The waterfront resort will feature 99 guest rooms, including six suites, all offering stunning harbour views. The accommodations are comprised of 70 strata titled hotel rooms owned by Anthony Moreton Group Funds Management Pty Ltd and 29 individually owned strata titled hotel rooms.

Ramada Hope Harbour will offer two food and beverage venues, including a waterfront restaurant and hotel bar. Recreational facilities include a 247-berth marina, gym and fitness facilities, two 25-metre outdoor swimming pools, a sauna and a spa. The resort will also offer services for conference, meetings and business guests with flexible function spaces totalling 275 square metres.

Conveniently located approximately 40 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport and 50 minutes from Brisbane International Airport, Ramada Hope Harbour is also positioned within one of Australia's most renowned golfing precincts. Links Hope Island Golf Club and Sanctuary Cove Golf Club are both within walking distance or a short car ride away. The resort is also minutes from the Gold Coast's world famous theme parks, including Dreamworld, Warner Bros. Movie World, Australian Outback Spectacular and Wet 'n' Wild.

“We selected the internationally recognised Ramada brand because of Wyndham Hotel Group's established and growing presence on the Gold Coast and the cooperative way in which they work,” said Tony Hazell, Chief Executive of Anthony Moreton Group. “We look forward to reviewing additional opportunities to partner with Wyndham Hotel Group on future projects we have in the pipeline.”
