Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris
Yala and Wilpattu Parks, Sri Lanka
Using stylish South African tents, both camps are located in two major national parks: Yala and Wilpattu. The campsites are made up of non-permanent structures, ensuring minimal impact on the parks, complete with comfortable king sized beds and a range of modern comforts and allowing privacy. Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris is the first Secret Retreats property to be selected in Sri Lanka, providing a new destination country to the Collection, and is perfect to illustrate Secret Retreat's campaign for sustainability and integration into the local environment.
Glenburn Tea Estate
Darjeeling, India
Glenburn is a heavenly little plantation retreat that lies on a hillock above the banks of the River Rungeet, high in the Himalayas, overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain range, with views of the world's third largest mountain. Started by a Scottish tea company in 1859, Glenburn then passed into the hands of one of India's pioneering tea planting families – The Prakashes, also known as the "Chaiwala family" – which means "tea planters". Secret Retreats is working closely with Glenburn to distribute their fine teas across the network of Secret Retreats properties and is in the process of developing a customised signature tea.

Blending east with west, and complemented by distinctive Italian touches, each accommodation has its own unique décor, replete with all the modern comforts including king size bed, en-suite bathroom and a deck with an infinity pool that overlooks forests and the river, featuring all the elements that define the very best of glamping.
