REMINDER: ‘SCULPTURE ROCKS’ EXHIBITION




18 JAPANESE WORKS TO MATERIALISE AT THE ROCKS IN SYDNEY FROM 20 MAY – 3 JUNE 2021

From 20 May – 3 June, ‘Sculpture Rocks’, a free outdoor exhibition of 18 sculptures by Japanese artists, will be showcased along the stunning and popular Sydney Harbour foreshore along Campbells Cove between the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Hickson Reserve next to the Park Hyatt Hotel.

Presented by Sculpture by the Sea in partnership with Place Management NSW (PMNSW) and the Port Authority of NSW, the exhibition will be officially opened by Minister for the Arts Don Harwin at the media launch on Thursday 20 May.

The exhibition will feature a beautifully refined selection of 18 artworks by 14 Japanese artists including Keizo Ushio, Takeshi Tanabe, Mitsuo Takeuchi, Ayako Saito and an ephemeral work by Akira Kamada. For more information visit: https://sculpturebythesea.com/exhibitions/sculpturerocks

An indoor exhibition of some 40 small contemporary sculptures by Japanese artists, ‘Sculpture Inside Rocks’, will be held concurrently at Campbell’s Stores.

Organisers will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation in Sydney and follow any advice from the State Government.
