In celebration of the much-anticipated Elvis: Direct from Graceland exhibition, Bendigo will be All Shook Up, lighting up and putting on its Blue Suede Shoes for the launch of the region’s new and exciting VIVA BENDIGO campaign.
Showcasing at the historic Bendigo Art Gallery from March 19, 2022, through to July 17, 2022, Elvis: Direct from Graceland will include more than 300 exclusive items and artefacts that were once owned by the King of Rock ‘n Roll himself. From Elvis’ famous jumpsuits, vintage memorabilia and treasured personal items such as his wedding suit - Elvis and music fans alike will be sure to have a rockin’ time at the Australian-first exhibition.
And the city of Bendigo will be celebrating all that is The King with the city theming itself in Elvis style - with Viva Las Vegas, A Little Less Conversation, Blue Suede Shoes and Shake, Rattle and Roll – showcasing more than 30 Elvis-inspired experiences across the Bendigo region throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Viva Bendigo: Get your cameras ready! Every night the piazza of Bendigo will light up with the letters VIVA BENDIGO in reference to the iconic Viva Las Vegas sign and Elvis’ iconic musical movie, Viva Las Vegas. The extravagant letters are 2.1 metres high and have Elvis song lyrics written on the front of them.
Viva Bendigo Shake, Rattle & Roll Cocktail Tram: Every Friday and Saturday evenings, get All Shook Up and rattle along to iconic tunes whilst enjoying an Elvis-themed cocktail amidst the rolling vistas of Bendigo’s picturesque streetscape. You’ll be tapping your feet and snapping your fingers whilst swaying back and forth to the legendary sounds of The King of Rock n’ Roll, with as little (or as much) conversation as you’d like!
A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION: “A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action Please”

All Shook Up Pinot & Picasso: A rock and roll paint and sip event in collaboration with local studio: Pinot & Picasso Bendigo. This fun-filled event will take place on Saturday April 2, 2022, in the main restaurant of Hustler and includes an "All Shook Up" cocktail upon arrival.
Rock & Roll Trivia: Put your Rock ‘n’ Roll and Elvis knowledge to the test across three fun-filled nights at Shedshaker Brewing and Taproom in Castlemaine. Each night will cover questions from a different decade in the King’s life: 1950’s - April 13 2022, 1960’s - May 11 2022, 1970’s - June 15 2022.

Cocktails & Gelato with The King: Enjoy the sweet combination of an Elvis movie, dessert & drink at the incredible MacKenzie Quarters. Rock-A-Hula Laneway: Head down to Chancery Lane and find the fabulous Dispensary Bar & Diner. They have a special cocktail and snack menu inspired by the King of Rock & Roll and his time in the tropics. Try the signature "Blue Suede Shoe" cocktail, a take on the classic Blue Hawaii.
High Tea Fit For A King: Café Essence is serving up high tea fit for rock ‘n’ roll royalty……Well, They Said You Were High Class… You can enjoy a traditional sweet high tea, but if you prefer savoury, That's Alright Mama! Either option comes with a range of beverages.
Jailhouse Hops American Pale Ale: Cornella Brewery have created the Jailhouse Hops - a rocking, hop stomping, American Pale Ale that's sure to appeal to everybody in the whole cell block. You’ll find it on tap at their bar at Shiraz Republic to enjoy alongside their wines, with live music on weekends. Also available around Bendigo at select outlets.
