2024 Bathurst Winter Festival

The Bathurst Winter Festival was launched in July 2015 coinciding with the celebrations for the Bathurst Bicentenary (1815-2015).

Being located 650m above sea level, Bathurst experiences a cold winter which has, in the past, been avoided for the purposes of outdoor events.

By embracing the Winter chill and the combined enthusiasm of the community the Bathurst Winter Festival has established itself as a flagship event within the Central West.

The festival is held over the 2 weeks of the NSW school holidays.

The event embraces the distinct seasonality of the region and celebrates the significant cultural heritage of Australia's oldest inland European settlement.

The festival is a showcase of:

  • An outdoor, open-air festival
  • Family friendliness of the region
  • An outdoor ice rink
  • A giant Ferris wheel
  • Vibrancy and creativity
  • Illuminated heritage buildings
  • Local food and beverages

The 2024 Bathurst Winter Festival will be held 6-21 July.
