Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) and Artisan Hospitality, a joint venture led by a subsidiary of Singapore’s Oxley Holdings, announced their planned opening of The Langham Kuala Lumpur in 2027. Part of the Oxley Towers KLCC complex, a premium property development situated in the city’s prestigious central business precinct, the luxury hotel will occupy the upper half of the development and will provide seamless access to the famous Petronas Twin Towers, the adjoining parklands, exciting lifestyle and retail malls, and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
“We are excited to collaborate with Langham Hospitality Group, a trusted name in the hospitality industry. Our partnership will not only introduce a landmark hotel to Oxley Towers but also an elevated luxury brand in The Langham. This will strengthen the development’s position as a premier destination for both business and leisure travellers,” Oxley Holdings Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Ching Chiat-kwong noted.
LHG Chief Executive Officer Mr Bob van den Oord said, “We look forward to bringing our flagship brand to Kuala Lumpur, a gateway city in a thriving part of the world that is also home to a notably robust travel market. The Langham Kuala Lumpur will be a telling symbol of our vision to craft iconic, world-class hotels in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
The Langham Kuala Lumpur will have 198 guestrooms and suites supported by a rich selection of luxurious amenities. These will include an impressive sky pool that is destined to be one of the city’s highest. There will be an outpost of T’ang Court, The Langham Hong Kong’s three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant. A unique destination bar will also open, as will a branch of The Langham London’s iconic Palm Court dining space and birthplace of the brand’s legendary afternoon teas.
The property will also feature health and wellness facilities via LHG’s Chuan Spa platform, which additionally encompasses a fitness centre and a wide selection of in-room offerings. A spectacular banquet hall and exquisite meeting rooms are included in the hotel’s inventory.
The Kuala Lumpur project is the second Southeast Asia hotel to be announced by LHG this year, the other being the much-heralded, The Langham Customs House in Bangkok. The two properties will join the group’s multi-award-winning, The Langham Jakarta.
