Aussie and Kiwi Agents Become CLIA Masters at Sea

A group of more than 60 Australian and New Zealand travel agents have spent eight nights cruising the South Pacific as part of CLIA Australasia’s Masters Conference.

US-based sales guru and motivator Scott Koepf was at the helm of his 15th Masters, an annual CLIA Australasia event which combines intensive training sessions with a first-hand cruise experience. This year’s conference was spent on Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Spirit on a roundtrip Pacific Islands cruise from Sydney in late November.

Masters participants attended a series of sessions to help them sharpen their sales and marketing techniques. Between seminars they enjoyed the thrill of Carnival Spirit’s Green Thunder slide as well as visits to Noumea and the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia and idyllic Mare in the Loyalty Islands.

“This year’s Masters Conference was a huge success with agents gaining invaluable knowledge and tools to remain at the top of their game, while also experiencing all the fun onboard Carnival Spirit,” CLIA Australasia General Manager Brett Jardine said.

After completing the course and a comprehensive post-conference assignment, agents will enter the prestigious Cruise Masters’ ranks.

The annual Masters event is open to all agents currently holding CLIA accreditation and employed by a CLIA member travel agent.
