Covering a total of more than 60,000 square feet, the new and renovated lounges are part of the commitment of both companies to continuously improve the travel experience of their frequent flyer members. With the opening of these five new redesigned spaces, LAN and TAM strengthen their presence and value for passengers travelling to, from and within South America and beyond. Both companies also hope to open more lounges in the region’s airports for their frequent flyers in the future.
The new LAN and TAM lounges offer significant improvements in service standards including a children's area, relaxation areas, individual bathrooms, shower facilities, chaise lounges for sleeping, business centres and South American inspired beverages and cuisine.
"To carry out this project we decided to work with world renowned architects and designers like Chilean architect Mathias Klotz and Lillian Allen. The global vision came from Studio Putman, one of best design studios in the world with headquarters in Paris," said Fernanda Toro, Director of Travel Experience, LATAM Airlines Group.
