Finalists announced in Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

The Australian Tourism Industry Council is delighted to announce the finalists for the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

The awards recognise excellence across 25 categories including Major Tourist Attraction, Festivals and Events, Adventure Tourism and 5 Star Luxury Accommodation, to name a few. The finalists for these prestigious awards are drawn from the Gold winners at each State & Territory’s own tourism awards program.

Shaun de Bruyn, Chair of the Australian Tourism Awards, congratulated all the finalists from across Australia.

“To reach the finalists stage of the Australian Tourism Awards is a great honour in itself and all finalists should be immensely proud of their efforts.,” said Mr de Bruyn.

Sydney’s glamorous Dolton House on Darling Island will host the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards on Friday 17 March 2023. The awards will take this as an opportunity to showcase the State in all its glory from entertainment to food & wine and inspiring itineraries to extend guest’s stay.

NSW Minister for Tourism, Ben Franklin, said the NSW Government was proud to be hosting the finalists of the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Sydney.

“NSW is home to the nation’s best tourism offerings and the gateway to Australia. I am delighted Sydney is hosting the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards to honour the best of the best in the Australian Tourism Industry and celebrate the enormous impact Tourism has in driving our nation’s visitor economy,” Mr Franklin said.

“The NSW Government joins ATIC in congratulating the finalists and we look forward to welcoming them from across the country to the Harbour City for Australian tourism’s night of nights.”

The Awards acknowledges the continued support by Qantas for the National Tourism Awards as our naming rights sponsor.

The ongoing support by Qantas, and our other partners including Tourism Australia, helps to ensure this incredible program continues and we are able to recognise and celebrate our industry’s champions.

Qantas Group Chief Marketing Officer Petra Perry said:

“We’re proud to be supporting these awards and helping to celebrate the best of Australia’s tourism industry. We know it’s been a challenging few years for the industry and these Awards are a great opportunity to recognise many of our world-leading tourism operators. As the national carrier we know we have an important role supporting Australia’s tourism industry as it recovers.”

ATIC would like to thank all entrants across the States & Territories for taking part this year and congratulate our Finalists. We are excited to see who takes the GOLD in March.
