Goulburn's Steampunk Victoriana Fair

The Steampunk Victoriana Fair will again transform the Goulburn Historic Waterworks on Saturday 18 October 2025, with a full day of retro-futuristic fun, fashion and entertainment along the picturesque Wollondilly River.

Set against the backdrop of the 1880s Pumphouse Museum, visitors will also have the rare opportunity to witness the majesty of two fully operational steam engines in action. Adding to the excitement, this year’s event will include a world record attempt for the largest gathering of Steampunk enthusiasts in one place.

The program will feature live performances from Lilac City Brass, Phoenix Collective, Hume Conservatorium students and The Goulburn Club Ukulele Band. Visitors can enjoy the thrill of the Alkazar Circus Tent with all-new acts, roving stilt walkers and human statues, hobby horse racing with Riding Develops Abilities Goulburn, and crowd favourites such as the Costume Parade, Tea and Parasol Duels, teapot racing and sword fighting displays. Families can also explore art workshops, Vintage Games, penny farthings, face painting, trackless train rides, horse and carriage rides, and an expanded range of market stalls and food vendors. The CWA will once again serve its famous Devonshire Teas in the School House Tea Room.

With limited parking available, shuttle buses will operate every 15 minutes from the Goulburn Civic Centre carpark, 184-194 Bourke St, Goulburn. The Goulburn Inclusion Forum will provide assistance, with accessible parking and support for visitors with mobility needs, from event entry through to the market stalls and transfers to the Pumphouse. All activities are included in the ticket price, with horse and carriage rides available at an additional cost of $5 per person each way.

 
The popular Steampunk Dinner Dance will also return, featuring canapes and drinks from the bar, buffet-style main and dessert grazing board. Entertainment will include ceilidh dancing, live music and an outdoor fire show.
