‘Destination NZ’ features in leading Brazil’s newspaper

Brazil's largest mainstream newspaper, Folha de Sao Paulo, has published an extensive special report on New Zealand.

Stretching across six and a half pages, the coverage ran as the lead feature on the cover of the paper's tourism section.

The coverage follows the recent Trade Mission to South America by Prime Minister, and Minister of Tourism, Hon. John Key.  In support of the visit, Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) undertook a series of industry functions and trade meetings in Mexico City and Sao Paulo.

The report is the result of a round-table discussion and subsequent interviews with major luxury tourism operators in Sao Paulo which was attended by the Prime Minister and TNZ. The session was coordinated and chaired by TNZ's General Manager Western Long-haul Markets Gregg Anderson.

"As an emerging tourism market this type of coverage is invaluable as we work to generate knowledge and awareness of NZ as both a holiday and business destination," says Gregg Anderson.

Sections of the report are also available on the newspaper's website, including an image gallery featuring images supplied by Tourism New Zealand.
