The Star will be lighting up for Vivid Sydney in 2015 with an expanded footprint of interactive activity to create the Vivid Sydney Game Zone at Pyrmont and The Star. The precinct will include multiple audience operated interactive zones including: installations at Pyrmont Bay Park dubbed 'Pyrmont Pyro' and 'Mission Control', the Vivid Lounge at Sky Terrace, The iconic Star sign with its own bespoke light installation and the Murray Street trees that will come to life with light to ensure you find your way.

Sodagreen | 29 May
Taiwanese pop group Sodagreen are set to perform at The Star Event Centre. The group started organically as a student band in one of Taiwan's top universities in 2001 with the 6 member lineup consisting of Wu Qing-Feng, Hsieh Shin-Yi, Shih Jun-Wei, Ho Jing-Yang, Liu Jia-Kai and Hung Yu-Chi remaining unchanged since 2003. The group became the first indie band to hold a concert in the 10,000-seat Taipei Arena in 2007 and continues their rise to fame.

Continuing to tell the Italian story through food and wine, Stefano Manfredi and the Balla family welcome back the Italian Regional Dinner Series for 2015. The series will commence on Tuesday 5 May as guest chef Alessandro Pavoni joins Stefano Manfredi in the Balla kitchen to celebrate the region of their birthplace, Lombardy. Pavoni and Manfredi will be serving an entrée of Baccala of Glacier 51 Toothfish, Carnaroli Risotto with Wild Mushrooms and Chestnuts followed by Roasted Turkey with a Bread and Mustard Fruit.

Balla's Gaja Dinner | 21 May
Osteria Balla in collaboration with Five Way Cellars is serving up a special 5-course dinner menu paired with the outstanding wines of Italy's Gaja winery, widely known as the winery responsible for one of the most notable red wines from the Piedmont region. Owner and President Angelo Gaja is credited with developing techniques that have revolutionised winemaking in Italy. Angelo's daughter Gaia Gaja now responsible and tasked with Gaja's future will host the dinner. You will also have the opportunity to taste wine from Gaja's Tuscany wineries. Enjoy the 5-course menu with wine tasting for $300 per person.
