The countdown to &Beyond Benguerra Island’s grand reopening is on! In just over two weeks time, our USD 5.5 million rebuild will be complete and guests will be warmly welcomed to this beautiful island paradise that has been transformed into one of Mozambique’s premier luxury lodges.
Located alongside a deep water channel, the lodge has a grand new entrance and welcome area that boast spectacular ocean views. The guest area features a refurbished rim-flow swimming pool, a well-stocked Beach Shop and elegant dining and cocktail area in the upgraded Dhow Bar situated right on the beach.
The casinhas and cabanas have been restyled with an island colour scheme and classic interiors that reflect the island’s Portuguese heritage. The transformation includes brand new furniture, redesigned bathrooms, air conditioning, elegant bespoke flooring, large private swimming pools and refreshed beach bandas. The private villa is being converted into the Casa Familia, with three ensuite bedrooms, ideal for families or small groups.
With a refreshed dive centre, new diving equipment, additional change rooms, as well as a new dive boat, vehicle and refurbished catamaran, guests will enjoy a superlative island experience when the lodge reopens its doors on 01 June.
