Adina opens 148-key apartment hotel in Brisbane’s Chermside

TFE Hotels has opened Adina Chermside Brisbane, a 148-key apartment hotel in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, expanding the Adina brand into one of the city’s fastest-growing lifestyle and health precincts.

The hotel is located in central Chermside, close to Westfield Chermside, major hospitals, Brisbane Airport, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall and the city centre. The location is expected to appeal to business travellers, leisure guests, families, extended-stay visitors and people travelling to the area for medical appointments or hospital-related visits.

Designed by WMK Architecture, Adina Chermside offers a mix of studio rooms and one-bedroom apartments. Selected apartments include kitchen and laundry facilities, aimed at guests seeking more space and flexibility than a conventional hotel room. The property also includes an all-day café and bar, a gym, meeting spaces and undercover parking.

The building has been designed to reflect Brisbane’s subtropical climate, with contemporary screening elements, large windows and greenery incorporated through the podium and façade. The design provides outlooks across the surrounding suburbs and towards the Brisbane skyline.

The hotel also features a collection of works by Queensland photographer and filmmaker Sam Thies, drawn from his coffee table book BUSH. The photography depicts regional and outback Queensland landscapes and communities, and is intended to create a stronger connection between the hotel and guests travelling from regional areas.

Adina Chermside General Manager Sue Rowe said the images were intended to provide a sense of familiarity and calm for guests, particularly those staying for longer periods or visiting nearby hospitals.

“Adina Chermside isn’t just opening its doors; it’s opening a space where travellers can breathe out, settle in, and feel held by something recognisably their own,” Rowe said.

Rowe said the photographs had personal resonance because her grandfather and father grew up on Diamond Downs, a cattle station in outback Queensland. She said the images recalled “the smell of dust after rain, the hum of cicadas, and the long roads home.”

Adina is TFE Hotels’ apartment hotel brand and operates on a “home away from home” model, with accommodation designed for guests who want more residential-style facilities during travel.

The opening adds new accommodation capacity to Brisbane’s northern corridor as Chermside continues to grow as a retail, health, business and residential hub.

SHOP, STAY PLAY OPENING OFFER: To celebrate the opening, Adina Chermside is offering a special Shop, Stay and Play opening package designed for weekend escapes, visiting friends and family, medical stays, or longer Brisbane breaks where comfort and flexibility matter.
