Intrepid Expands Beyond Tours With Launch of “Stay Intrepid” Accommodation Brand
Melbourne-based Intrepid Travel has unveiled “Stay Intrepid”, a new accommodation platform aimed at extending the company’s push into experience-led hospitality and immersive travel stays.
The collection launches with boutique properties in Australia and Morocco, including the Daintree Ecolodge in Far North Queensland and Riad Joudour in Marrakech. According to the company, the stays are designed to connect guests more deeply with local culture, communities and the environment rather than function as conventional hotels.
The move marks a significant expansion for Intrepid, best known globally for its small-group adventure tours. The company said the accommodation arm would focus on “hyper-local, immersive accommodation” with an emphasis on sustainability, community partnerships and destination-led experiences.
The initiative follows a series of acquisitions by Intrepid as it broadens its tourism footprint beyond touring. Recent purchases have included boutique Australian lodges and experiential properties aligned with low-impact tourism and conservation outcomes.
Industry observers see the launch as part of a broader trend among experiential travel brands seeking greater control over the end-to-end guest journey, while capitalising on growing demand for authentic, locally grounded accommodation experiences.
“Stay Intrepid” is now live via the website.
