Plantation Island Resort Fiji - statement reference accidental death of Harrison Kadell
Image sourced from News Ltd
The management and staff of Plantation Island Resort again wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the Kadell family for the loss of their son Harrison who tragically passed away while staying at the resort as part of an escorted tour group arranged by 'schoolies' travel company, Unleashed Travel.
This was a terrible accident that happened very quickly, and despite the best efforts of the resort's medical staff and the Unleashed Travel crew on site, we were unable to save him.
Given the matter is now being handled by the local authorities and out of respect for the Kadell family it would be inappropriate for the resort to make any comment at this moment in time.
The same applies to the privacy of in-house guests but the resort can advise that all other guests are safe and well and being very well cared for during this unfortunate time.
Plantation Island Resort is grateful to have a number of the 'Red Frogs'* on resort who have made themselves readily available to any guests who need support during this time.
*Founded in Australia, 'Red Frogs' is an international young people's support network run by volunteers known as the 'Red Frogs Crew' who participate at many events including schoolies week parties and university events.
