Travel Indochina celebrates turning 20 with a new joint venture

Australia's expert in small group journeys and tailor-made holidays to Asia, Travel Indochina, is celebrating a significant milestone with the opening of a new joint venture office in Laos and expansion of its Vietnamese operations, bringing its presence to over 95 staff in seven offices across the region.

Managing Director and co-founder of Travel Indochina, Paul Hole, says the expansion demonstrates the company’s strength and ongoing commitment to Asia.

“In order to meet growing demand, we’ve expanded our offices in Saigon and opened a new space in Danang in Central Vietnam, as well as opening new ‘street front’ presences in both Luang Prabang and Vientiane in Laos,” according to Paul.

“In particular the signing of a joint venture agreement with our local Laotian partners is very exciting, and marks a significant milestone in our twenty year history.

“This joint venture allows us to really take advantage of emerging new opportunities in the region and cement our position as a truly local tour operator.

“This investment clearly demonstrates our deepening commitment to our Asian operations and reiterates our Indochina specialist status. Most importantly it also allows us to continue to deliver on our promise to share the experience with our travellers.”

“We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings 20 years ago,” according to Paul, “and we’ve built a company that I am very proud of. Experience matters and we have a very experienced, professional team.”

“When we first started out, I would not have dared predict we would be where we are today, with seven offices across Asia, as well as our Australian, UK and US teams. Importantly, our local offices help us maintain an unrivalled in-depth local knowledge and authenticity of experience true to our founding philosophy, despite our size.

“Sharing our experience and passion for the region is still an integral part of our handcrafted Small Group Journeys and tailor made holidays. The benefit of our size is it permits us to offer something for everyone across our extensive range of itinerary options. This choice is supported by our ability to negotiate better prices, provide a higher standard of quality and safety, and our capacity to constantly search out new and interesting tour inclusions.”
