A vast adventure playground for children: Morukuru Family

Morukuru Family is situated in Madikwe Game Reserve, in the North-Western part of South Africa. This malaria-free reserve at the border to Botswana is perfectly suitable for guests travelling with kids.

With a total area of 75,000 hectares, Madikwe Game Reserve with its wildlife species represents one of the country’s largest national parks and kids can find here an enormous adventure playground. The focus on family holidays plays a major role in Morukuru Family’s philosophy. The staff aims to entertain and educate the youngest guests about the African bush. The Morukuru Family experience incorporates a multitude of activities, which allows guests to interact closely with Mother Nature. Professional rangers ensure security whilst taking care of the children, for example when they are going fishing. In the evening, the successful catches of the day can be enjoyed at a fish-barbeque at the riverbank, in a relaxed atmosphere. If the kids are fed up with outdoor adventures, they have plenty of other possibilities in the luxurious villas and the lodge. Already upon their arrival they receive a so-called “Morukuru Kidz Backpack”. The backpack contains presents that entertain and educate at the same time about wild animals, bird species and the African continent. For further information please visit www.morukuru.com.

The unique Morukuru Family experience offers privacy, exclusivity and space in three privately located, luxurious sole-use villas – the Lodge, the Owner´s House and the Farm House. The Lodge and Owner’s House enjoy similarly superb locations on the banks of the Marico River. The Lodge can accommodate six adult guests in three large en-suite bedrooms, each with their own fireplace and tree-shaded deck. The Lodge also offers a kids’ room that accommodates four junior guests. The more intimate Owner’s House is the epitome of bush lodge elegance and charm, and has two spacious, beautifully appointed bedrooms as well as rest-and-relaxation areas. With a gorgeous pool set in sprawling green lawns, the more rustic-chic ethos of the Farm House is a heaven of space and bush luxury, and can accommodate ten guests of all ages in five beautifully appointed presidential rooms opening their windows with real life bush view pictures.

Each villa comes with a private Morukuru Family Team to fulfill every wish, like the own ranger and tracker who are always ready to hand you the secrets and tales of the bush during your outdoor activities.

The ethos of Morukuru family is based around giving families or groups of close friends an unforgettable experience and the feeling of being the owner of this bush paradise.
