Running from 31 March to 6 April, Urban Vineyard - #QUEENSTOWNLIVE – is Queenstown brought to life in Sydney. Queenstown’s stunning scenery, dramatic vineyards, world class wines, food and passionate people have been recreated to showcase Queenstown’s premium wine and food experiences.
Urban Vineyard aims to recreate the wine and food magic of the region. As gateway to the Central Otago region and home to the world’s southernmost wineries, Queenstown’s vineyards yield some of the most exciting, interesting and awarded wines in the world. Some of the region’s best wineries including Amisfield, Gibbston Valley, Mount Edward, Peregrine, Two Paddocks and Valli have joined forces with Destination Queenstown and will supply Urban Vineyard with local wine so visitors can experience a taste of Queenstown.
The launch event was held on Monday night with over 200 guests in attendance from media and influencers through to industry and food & wine connoisseurs. Guests enjoyed an authentic Queenstown experience set within a visual masterpiece representing the stunning region.
The Urban Vineyard will now host a series of consumer events, all with a Queenstown flavour. From WINE 101 with Sarah Limacher and Mount Edward’s Duncan Forsyth, a Trust the Chef Laneway Dinner with Amisfield’s Head Chef Jay Sherwood as well as a week-long break out menu showcasing some of the regions premium produce and wine, Urban Vineyard will be an experience not to be missed.
Destination Queenstown has also partnered with Air New Zealand to give customers who visit Urban Vineyard the opportunity to win their very own #QUEENSTOWNLIVE experience, valued at over $10,000.
