Accor’s Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened a 474-room luxury hotel in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district, in partnership with Thai property group Asset World Corp.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the luxury hotel brand’s entry into Thailand and a further expansion of parent company Accor’s Asian portfolio.

Developed in partnership with Asset World Corp (AWC), the hotel has 416 rooms and 58 suites, seven food and beverage venues, a spa and more than 2,000 square metres of meeting and event space.

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit follows recent Fairmont openings in Tokyo and Hanoi.

“Thailand’s gracious hospitality, rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted appreciation for connection make it a natural home for Fairmont,” Fairmont Hotels & Resorts CEO Omer Acar said.

Designed by Thai architectural and interior design practice PIA, the property draws on Thailand’s botanical heritage. Its centrepiece is a lobby chandelier modelled on the golden ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower, and constructed from 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls.

The hotel’s initial dining venues include Harper’s, a North American-French brasserie; AELA Social Bar; and CAYA Pool Club, serving contemporary interpretations of Thai street food.

Wiggle Room, a cabaret-style supper club with a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18, is scheduled to open in mid-September. Two further restaurants are planned for levels 32 and 33 in December, including an Italian-Japanese venue and a contemporary Thai restaurant.

The Fairmont Spa takes its design inspiration from jasmine and is supported by yoga, cardio and strength-training facilities. Family amenities include a children’s club, while pets weighing up to 30 kilograms are permitted. Fairmont Gold guests receive access to a private reception, lounge and concierge service.

Business and event facilities span three floors. They include the Signature Grand Ballroom, which has a 12-metre ceiling and dedicated arrival forecourt, a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms and several smaller event spaces.

The hotel has been designed to meet LEED Gold standards, according to AWC. Sustainability measures include water recycling, energy-management systems, electric-vehicle charging, improved indoor air quality and a heat-reducing façade.

AWC chief executive and president Wallapa Traisorat said Fairmont’s Thai debut was a significant milestone in the company’s partnership with Accor and would strengthen Bangkok’s position as an international tourism and business destination.

Fairmont operates more than 90 hotels worldwide and is part of Accor, which has more than 5,800 properties in over 110 countries.

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit is accepting reservations for stays from August 18, 2026. For room bookings, please write to reservations.bangkok@fairmont.com
