Harilela Hotels will convert the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre into The Hari Singapore, a 326-room luxury hotel scheduled to open in spring 2027.
SINGAPORE — Harilela Hotels will open The Hari Singapore in spring 2027, marking the third property under The Hari brand after London and Hong Kong.
The project will see the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre repositioned as a 326-room luxury hotel with a rooftop pool, executive lounge, dining venues, wellness facilities and a rotating art program, according to the company’s June 25 announcement.
The hotel will be designed by British designer Tara Bernerd, who also worked on The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong. Harilela Hotels said the Singapore property will combine contemporary interiors with local cultural references and the brand’s established focus on art, design and service.
“This hotel, like our sister properties in Belgravia and Wan Chai, will embody relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and genuine heartfelt hospitality,” said Dr Aron Harilela, founder of The Hari.
“Singapore is key to our ambition to evolve The Hari in major international destinations,” he said.
The Hari Singapore will expand the brand’s presence in Asia and place it in one of the region’s strongest hotel markets. The property’s Orchard location will position it close to Singapore’s major retail, dining and business districts.
The Hari brand launched with The Hari London in August 2016, followed by The Hari Hong Kong in December 2020. The Singapore opening will be the brand’s first new property in more than six years.
Harilela Group was established in 1959 and remains wholly owned by the Harilela family. Its hotel arm, Harilela Hotels, owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia, Europe and the United States.
