Dynamic duo renowned for multi-national flavoured menus.
Malolo Island in Fiji's Mamanuca archipelago is renowned for its multi-national flavoured menu, enhanced with local Fijian produce and touches. Today, the island is proud to introduce its new award-winning Executive Chef team, bringing extensive experience from restaurants and venues across the globe – and the skies.
Hailing most recently from Etihad Airline's Diamond First Class in-flight service, the new team is set to launch exquisite international flavours into some island favourites.
Joining Yngve is Head Pastry Chef Rhéa Pacaud, a highly skilled chef who has a passion for combining new recipes with some much-loved classics. "Fiji has so many fresh, sweet flavours in its local produce," says Rhéa. "I'm preparing a signature dish that will be remembered – a salted caramel ice cream, which I know will be a hit with adults and kids alike."
As part of its F$5 million dining and entertainment building-work, the chefs will enjoy state-of-the-art new kitchen facilities. The new dining complex includes the beautiful plantation-style 100 seater Terrace Restaurant for families and a stunning adults-only dining experience for 60 guests. Overlooking the resort's pools and lush gardens, the new Treetops Restaurant offers an impressive breakaway dining experience available for hire as a function centre and for weddings.
Ahura Resorts Group General Manager, Steve Anstey says, "We're delighted to welcome Yngve and Rhéa. With their wealth of international experience combined with our stunning new dining facilities, we have cemented Malolo's reputation for its culinary expertise, quality and variety whilst still being exceptional value for money."
