New website simplifies travel bookings for Vanuatu’s Ambrym Island

image012Australians looking for an intrepid travel experience in Vanuatu can now easily book even more outer island adventures with the launch of www.ambrym.travel , a new website offering up-to-date destination, tour and accommodation information about the island of Ambrym.

Following exploration of the user-friendly website, inspired travellers are then directed to a dedicated and helpful call centre, which will assist them in booking any of the products promoted on the site via phone or email.

Products include but aren’t limited Volcano tour’s  to visit the island’s impressive twin volcanoes – one of the highlights of these islands, Fanla Rom Dances & Black Magic Tour in North Ambrym and accommodation at the Terter Hotspring Bungalows.
The new website is operated by Malampa.travel, which launched a similar website and call centre in 2011 to assist with booking trips to the outer island of Malekula, and is now expanding to include more of the outer islands within this province of Vanuatu with the aim to grow the popularity amongst adventurous travellers.

Linda Kalpoi, General Manager, Vanuatu Tourism Office said the site provides a one-stop-shop for Australians looking for a holiday that is a little out of the ordinary.

“Ambrym is perfect for those who are fond of trekking, seeking rich cultural activities, interested in visiting the twin volcanoes as well as relaxing in hot-springs,” Ms Kalpoi said.

“Previously travellers would have to do a lot of research to find the right contacts for bungalows and tour companies on Ambrym but now with this website, all of the information is in one place and you know that the product you’re getting is of good standard.

“This is just another step we’re taking toward maturing and growing Vanuatu’s tourism offering so that travel to our country is more accessible and diverse than ever before.”

In addition to tour and accommodation information, the site provides maps, transport details and essential visiting information.
