Leading accommodation provider Oaks Hotels & Resorts has expanded its presence in Australia's most popular holiday destination, with the official opening of its first New South Wales Hunter Valley property today.
Joining Oaks Hotels & Resorts' portfolio of more than 40 properties throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, the former 'Cypress Lakes Resort' will now be known as Cypress Lakes Resort by Oaks Hotels & Resorts.
Oaks Hotels & Resorts' Chief Executive Officer Brett Pointon said this exciting property acquisition demonstrates the company's commitment to providing astute travellers with premium apartment-style accommodation in unique locations.
"Cypress Lakes Resort is a superb acquisition for the Oaks network and a testament to our commitment to grow on a national and global scale," he said.
To manage its newest addition, Oaks Hotels & Resorts has appointed Julie Pettit as General Manager of Cypress Lakes Resort by Oaks Hotels & Resorts. Julie brings a wealth of experience to the role and an intimate knowledge of the property, having built up her extensive 17 years of industry experience in all facets of hotel management at Cypress Lakes Resort, including front of house, food and beverage, housekeeping and, for the past two years, Assistant General Manager.
A scenic two-hour drive from Sydney, the 4.5 star resort consists of 126 luxury one, two and three bedroom villas, featuring kitchen and laundry facilities, separate lounge and dining areas, modern conveniences and private balconies – some with views over the manicured golf course.
The 100-hectare property also boasts a range of leisure facilities, including two swimming pools, tennis courts, fully equipped gymnasium, sauna, spa, the recently refurbished Bodega Restaurant and Bar, and an 18-hole championship golf course at the neighbouring Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club.
