Grand Hotel Tremezzo Celebrates Its 105th Anniversary

Beautiful Grand Hotel Tremezzo, directly opposite the delightful town of Bellagio and in the surrounds of some of the most famous villas of Lake Como including Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzi and Villa Balbianiello, is celebrating its 105th Anniversary.
On Friday evening 10th July, the iconic luxury hotel hosted a party lit with a hundred and five candles on the edge of the magical lake to mark the occasion.  The evening began with a Pommery Party at TBeach, reflecting the hotel's ongoing collaboration with the Champagne house expressive of La Dolce Vita. At the same time, Bellini and Rossini cocktails were served at TBar.  Following, guests had a choice of dining on Italian delights at La Terrazzo, enjoying a wine tasting and regional flavours at L'Escale Fondues and Wine Bar, flavourful pizzas at TPizza, or a fresh cocktail with fruits at TSpa.  Later in the evening they savoured delectable chocolate and desserts at TBar.  For the finale guests and the hotel's team celebrated together at TBeach.
Owned by the De Santis family, the Art Nouveau property has become a favourite of guests seeking a one-of-a-kind experience within the luxurious property.  In recent years over successive northern hemisphere winter seasons, they have imbued Grand Hotel Tremezzo with new life, as a result of design updates that have included the introduction of a new Rooftop floor with luxurious contemporary  Rooftop suites, individually decorated historical suites, and new décor for Lake View rooms and suites.
The Rooftop suites all have their own sun soaked terraces, outdoor heated jacuzzi pools, and butler service.  Historical suites include Suite Aurelia dedicated to a member of Grand Hotel Tremezzo's owning family.  This captures the majesty of the lake in delicate hues and views of the stunning Riviera dell Azalee from Bellagio to Punta Balbianello.  Aurelia's treasured antique collection is on display throughout the suite for guests to enjoy.  Another of these, Suite Maria, the honeymoon suite, pays homage to the elegance and style of Maria Mallone, grandmother of the hotel's present day co-owner, Valentina De Santis. The bedroom features a romantic four-poster bed and silk taffeta curtains float on either side of floor-to-ceiling glass windows.  Vivid fuchsia velvet covers the chaise in the lounge area and other visual accents including a rose painting dating from the early 19th century and antique furniture pieces from the De Santis family's private collection.  Lake View Prestige rooms and suites evoke the centuries-old charm of Europe's Grand Tour legacy.  With balconies boasting breathtaking views of the majestic lake, design elements exude luxury and feature classic furnishings, opulent silk accents, and luxurious marble bathrooms.
As well as for the stunning interiors and famed panoramic views, guests flock to the hotel's superb restaurants and wine bars with menus designed by star Italian chef, Gualtiero Marchesi together with their expert chef, Osvaldo Presazzi.
For this northern hemisphere summer season Grand Hotel Tremezzo has revealed a new signature TSpa, in collaboration with leading UK-based beauty brad ESPA.
The 18th century Villa Emilia next door has been transformed into a 1,000 square metre haven dedicated to relaxation and wellness to provide a whole new spa experience for guests. The TSpa now encompasses five treatment rooms, a Hamman Suite and Finishing Touches Studio, together with a three-storey gym.  The spa has been realised by architect Ruggero Venelli who has previously designed the TBeach and Rooftop suites.
