Step on Board With Tourism New Zealand's Coach Touring Campaign

Tourism New Zealand has launched a Coach Touring campaign, 'Every day a different journey' enticing active boomers from regional Australia to experience a seamless holiday in New Zealand.

The campaign promotes both the North and South Island and is aimed at a mature audience - appealing to a generation that looks to embark on an all-inclusive, social and bespoke travel experience.

Tourism New Zealand General Manager Australia Tony Saunders is excited about the advertising campaign and the value it provides to New Zealand.

“Coach Touring is an important offering that attracts high value visitors that stay longer and spend more.

“New Zealand has the most unique and spectacular scenery all in close proximity so one of the best ways to experience it is in the comfort of a coach.

Campaign activity includes the new 100% Pure brand TVC, which will run in Eastern Sea Board regional markets. In addition, a 16-page print lift-out will be distributed regionally across Australia and be housed on Fairfax's digital channels. An online coach content hub has been created on newzealand.com

Australia's major coach partners AAT Kings, APT, Evergreen Tours, Grand Pacific Tours, Kirra Tours, Scenic Tours and Travelmarvel will further support the activity with offers available on New Zealand touring holidays.

“The 2015 Coach campaign brings a diverse range of activities and experiences to life whilst showcasing the accessibility of New Zealand's gems to Australians,” Mr Saunders said.

In addition to the latest campaign, visitor arrivals are at a record high with holiday arrivals the highest ever for the month of June and total annual arrivals peaking, just short of three million international visitors.

“Tourism New Zealand has seen another good month with Australian holiday arrivals up 11.9 cent,” Mr Saunders added.

“We are seeing the results of our marketing activity encouraging Australians to take a break in New Zealand plus our strategy to focus on driving growth in the shoulder seasons will continue to consolidate this trend.”
