Kids are going bananas in Queensland… Bananas in Pyjamas to be precise with Australia's biggest theme park, Dreamworld, opening its newest attraction - ABC Kids World. There's also a new indigenous tour in the Southern Great Barrier Reef and the chance to ride camels in Outback Queensland with a local legend who has been riding the original ships of the desert since the age of six.
Australia's ultimate twitchers retreat opens in Queensland 
The Feathered Nest, a luxury wildlife retreat, located just 30 minutes from Mackay has opened its first villa that features a private aviary and infinity pool. The ultimate twitchers paradise, owner Gordon Lockie is a registered breeder of the cockatoos and has a number of species in his collection which are endangered in Australia and loving housed at The Feathered Nest.

Bedarra launches chopper transfers and new villa
There's a buzz in the air at Bedarra Island in Tropical North Queensland, with a new helicopter service giving guests the option to transfer direct by chopper to the island paradise from Cairns. The jaw-dropping scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef is perfect for guests who are short on time, or want that rock star arrival. Bedarra Island has also unveiled the resort's eighth villa – The Beach House.

New indigenous tour in Southern Great Barrier Reef 
Visitors to the Town of 1770 can now join Conrad Ingra, local indigenous guide and descendent of the Gooreng Gooreng people for the The Goolimbil - Black Cockatoo - Walkabout tour with LARC! The Goolimbil - Black Cockatoo - Walkabout tour gives visitors access to Eurimbula National Park to learn about local wildlife, indigenous language, plus enjoy the various flavours of native bush tucker and the chance to play indigenous instruments.

Dreamworld launches ABC Kids World 
Australia's largest theme park just got that bit bigger with the opening ABC Kids World. Regarded as the only one of its kind in the world, kids will adore the opportunity to play, explore and laugh in the new world that includes favourites such as Playschool, Giggle and Hoot and the Bananas in Pyjamas.

Sunshine Coast hidden gems day trip

Camel tours launched in Birdsville 
Adventurers to Outback Queensland can now not only sample a tasty camel pie from the Birdsville Bakery; they can also ride one of the four-legged ships of the desert on a Camel Tour. Developed by local camel legend, Tom Woodhouse, the tours run on demand from the Birdsville Bakery and snake along the Birdsville Billabong. Visitors will learn about the history of camels in the Outback, plus hear a yarn or three from Tom who has been riding camels since the age of six.
