New Caledonia Tourism will be hosting three roadshows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney on 31 March, 1 April and 2 April respectively, with the chance for agents to meet operators and hoteliers from the destination.
The fun-filled evenings will feature a series of interactive games giving agents the chance to win a selection of fantastic prizes, including trips to New Caledonia and magnums of Champagne, while highlighting the best of New Caledonia all with a French-Pacific theme for the night and free-flowing wine!
The tourism board’s newly appointed Sales & Marketing Director, Caroline Brunel, is looking forward to the industry roadshows, hoping to increase knowledge on the destination and raise awareness of new products.
“New Caledonia is an appealing destination for Australians given its proximity to the East Coast and its distinctly French flavour, which offers a slice of Europe within just 3 hours. This year the country is well placed to increase its visitation with the recent entry of the Hilton brand, the forthcoming launch of Sheraton into the destination and Aircalin’s launch of direct flights from Melbourne in June,” Caroline said.
“The 2014 roadshows will be the first of a few trade initiatives, with a new travel trade website and online training programme set to launch later in April, giving us the chance to communicate effectively with the industry and present an opportunity for considerable growth in this market,” she continued.
