Six Notable Asia-Pacific Hotel Openings to Watch in 2026

Asia-Pacific is set for another strong year of hotel development, with more than 251,000 new rooms expected to open across the region in 2026.

The pipeline spans luxury resorts, urban business hotels and smaller boutique properties, reflecting continued demand in both established gateways and emerging destinations.

Centara Reserve Krabi features stunning beachside rooms, suites and pool villas, ranging from 75 to 388 sqm

In Thailand, Centara Reserve Krabi is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter. Set in a private cove overlooking the Andaman Sea, the resort will offer 120 rooms, suites and pool villas, along with lagoon pools, a spa and five dining venues. Nearby, Navera Phuket – MGallery Collection will add a smaller-scale luxury option above Surin Beach. The 48-suite-and-villa resort will feature large-format accommodation, many with private pools, plus an ELEMIS spa and three restaurants.

Bangkok will also see the Thai debut of YOTEL with YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit, due in the fourth quarter. Located within the Cloud 11 mixed-use development in South Sukhumvit, the hotel will focus on compact, tech-enabled stays, with SmartBeds, wireless charging, fast Wi-Fi, co-working areas and a 23rd-floor sky bar. Its proximity to the BTS network is expected to support both business and leisure demand.

In Malaysia, Conrad Kuala Lumpur is planned for the city’s Golden Triangle. The 481-room hotel will include five restaurants and lounges, a rooftop pool, spa, indoor pool, fitness facilities and event spaces. Rates are expected to start from USD 245++ per night.

Vietnam’s 2026 pipeline includes two very different properties. Meliá Serenity Cam Ranh Beach Resort, opening in the third quarter, will be a large beachfront development with 698 rooms, 40 villas and 64 bungalow-style units. Facilities will include eight food and beverage outlets, three pools, children’s and teenagers’ clubs, a spa, fitness centre and direct beach access. An all-inclusive option will also be available, with rates from USD 137++.

The independent 95-room hotel will overlook Hoan Kiem Lake from Le Thai To Street and include a restaurant, patisserie café, rooftop bar and 600-square-metre ballroom. Rates are expected to begin at USD 380++.

Together, the six openings point to the breadth of current hotel investment across Asia-Pacific, from secluded coastal resorts and large family-focused properties to city hotels designed for business, lifestyle and short-stay travellers.
