The draft master plan released by Sydney Airport provides an a opportunity to create improved customer experience and support growth capacity over the next 20 years, ATEC Managing Director, Felicia Mariani  said today.

"Any plan for Sydney Airport must address real a capacity issues, both air and port side, and ATEC* welcomes any consultation that might help achieve this outcome," Ms Mariani said.

"The plan has outlined opportunities to improve access and amenity which will directly contribute to the airports capacity to manage increasing demand and access over the next 20 years and beyond.

"Creating a more streamlined passenger experience and building better road access can only help make Sydney a more attractive destination and ensure we have a world class airport facility.

Ms Mariani said passengers want their travelling experience to be streamlined and unencumbered by the complexity of changing terminals and a gridlocked road system.

"Having seamless connectivity at airports, particularly long haul destinations such as Australia, is a crucial identifier of a modern and vibrant destination."

"Quite simply, this is what our international visitors have come to expect and we must continue to work towards building these world class facilities now and into the future."
