Swire Hotels announces the opening of EAST Miami

Swire Hotels announces the opening of EAST, Miami at Brickell CityCentre, Swire Properties Inc.'s US$1 billion mixed use development in Miami's downtown financial district in 2015.  It will be the hotel group's first property in the United States and the third hotel under the EAST brand, after the successful opening of EAST, Hong Kong in Island East in 2010 and EAST, Beijing last year at INDIGO, Beijing.

Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica and New York-based Clodagh Design as the interior designer, EAST, Miami will offer 263 rooms and 89 serviced apartments. Created for travellers looking for a relaxed, convenient and contemporary environment, EAST will feature a paperless check-in and check-out experience and a one-stop front-desk Guest Experience team. The hotel will have two restaurants and a rooftop bar, as well as meeting rooms, a feature pool, a fitness centre and treatment rooms.

We were ultimately able to select from among ten upscale hotel brands in choosing Swire Hotels' EAST for our flag."

Swire Hotels recently announced the opening of The Temple House in Chengdu, China which will be the group's fifth hotel in Asia, following The Opposite House and EAST in Beijing and The Upper House and EAST in Hong Kong.

The first hotel in the collection, The Montpellier Chapter, Cheltenham opened in 2010. The second hotel, The Magdalen Chapter, Exeter opened in June 2012.
