JW Marriott names Aishwarya Rai Bachchan global brand ambassador
Luxury hotel brand JW Marriott has appointed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as its global brand ambassador, expanding its marketing efforts in key international markets and highlighting the growing importance of Indian travellers to the hospitality sector.
The actress will feature in the brand’s global advertising campaigns across film, print and digital channels and participate in promotional events in India and selected overseas markets.
JW Marriott said the partnership will support its “Stay in the Moment” platform, which focuses on wellbeing, personal connection and travel experiences. The brand operates more than 130 hotels worldwide, with India among its fastest-growing markets.
“Aishwarya’s global stature, warmth, and authenticity make her a natural embodiment of JW Marriott and an ideal partner for the brand,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott. “She brings a thoughtful, grounded presence that reflects the way our guests seek to travel – with intention and a sense of connection.”
Rai Bachchan said the partnership reflected her own views on travel.
“Travel has always been an important part of my life, both personally and professionally,” she said. “The most meaningful experiences are often the quietest ones, when you are fully aware of where you are and who you are with.”
The appointment comes as international hotel groups seek to strengthen their presence in India, one of the world's fastest-growing outbound and domestic luxury travel markets.
