The former Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket has reopened as Club Wyndham Patong Hill Phuket following a major refurbishment and repositioning.
Travel + Leisure Co. has relaunched the former Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket as Club Wyndham Patong Hill Phuket, marking the first Club Wyndham-branded resort in Thailand.
The 242-room property has been repositioned as a premium resort within the Club Wyndham portfolio following investment in guest facilities, design and service standards.
Travel + Leisure Co. holds a direct interest in the resort through Club Wyndham South Pacific and Club Wyndham Asia. Renovation work is continuing across the property, including upgrades to its eight swimming pools, Carissa Day Spa, Alfa Fire & Grill restaurant, pool bar and fitness centre.A new village square precinct is also being developed as the resort’s main social and dining hub. The open-air area will combine restaurants, bars, landscaped gardens and waterways with koi fish.
The company has expanded the resort team and introduced additional hospitality training as part of the repositioning. It said the property had received early positive guest feedback and had achieved a 4.9 out of 5 rating on TripAdvisor.
Barry Robinson, president and managing director of international operations at Travel + Leisure Co., said the relaunch was intended to establish the resort as a stronger premium offering in Phuket.
“Club Wyndham Patong Hill Phuket represents an exciting new chapter for this resort as it is reintroduced as a premium holiday experience in Phuket,” Robinson said.
“We are focused on investing in both the physical product and the guest experience, ensuring it reflects the signature standards that vacation club owners and guests expect across the Club Wyndham portfolio.”
The resort is located in the hills near Patong and is being positioned as a quieter alternative to the area’s main tourism precinct while remaining within reach of local beaches, dining and entertainment.
Club Wyndham Patong Hill Phuket can be booked through Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as an independent property under the Trademark Collection by Wyndham brand. It is also available to members of Wyndham Rewards, which has more than 124 million enrolled members and a network of more than 8,300 hotels across 25 brands.
Travel + Leisure Co. develops Club Wyndham South Pacific and Club Wyndham Asia and operates a portfolio of more than 100 properties across the Asia-Pacific region.
