Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism has put together seven short break itineraries highlighting the unique experiences and ease of travel in the South Island’s largest region, Canterbury.

“We know Australians love the South Island and we want to show them how easy it is to fly in to Christchurch, experience the new buzz here and get out exploring,” says Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism’s General Manager Marketing, Rowan Townsend.

“We are retelling the modern tales of our Canterbury region in a clever new way, using Chaucer’s cast of colourful characters and medieval style to bring them to life,” she says.

“Each itinerary has its own theme and personality, and there is a delightful comical element to the whole campaign,” she says.

The ‘Canterbury Tales Yet To Be Told’ campaign will run online at canterburytales.com.au from today until 20 October.

Next week, from 13 to 17 October, a modern day Town Crier will be roaming the streets of Sydney’s CBD, spreading the word about Canterbury Tales.

People have the chance to win a $1,000 Webjet voucher, a rental car for five days and four different Canterbury experiences for two people.
