Loy Krathong 2Stepping aboard a magnificently restored antique rice barge of old world charm and modern luxury, Manohra Cruise diners saunter along the river, marveling at some of the city’s most famous historic and cultural sites, as thousands of candle lit krathong floats glide past.  For the Special Thai Set Menu, Thailand’s most exquisite regional recipes are presented in five stages.  To begin, Miang Kam features an assortment of fresh herbs and spices, which guests wrap themselves in wild betal nut leaves and top with sweet tamarind sauce.  A collection of appetisers includes Hoy Shell Yang Ta Krai of grilled marinated scallop lemongrass skewer served with chili sauce.  A spicy seafood soup follows, before a selection of tantalising main dishes are served, including Goong Mung Korn Pad Pong-Karee of marinated Phuket lobster with curry and chili paste.  After exotic traditional desserts, diners can relax and watch fireworks illuminating the city sky.  Prices start from THB 4,999++ per person.
