Funds raised from sales of Hendrick’s Gin were pledged to the Foundation, raising a total of 72,750 Baht in charitable proceeds that will go to support important initiatives of the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation.
William Grant & Sons’ Regional Portfolio Ambassador, Zachary Connor de Git, joined Bangkok’s top 5 mixologists to create special Hendrick’s-themed cocktails for the Elephant Polo tournament; Hendrick’s Unusual Emporium encouraged guests to take a walk into a Victorian themed venue, while contributing to an exceptional charitable cause on the way! The tournament enabled participating event partners to contribute to the Foundation, with Italasia, Hyde & Seek Gastro Bar, Junker and Bar, Perfume Bar, Ku De Ta and Sugar Ray all pledging donations.
Tim Boda, Director of Culinary Excellence & Events, received the donation from Max Benedetti, Managing Director, Italasia Trading Co. Ltd., the distributor of WGS products in Thailand, along with Zachary and his team of mixologists at a special ceremony hosted at Anantara Riverside.
The opening day of the 2014 King’s Cup Elephant Polo tournament marked the start of a month-long charity donation period in which participating retailers of Hendrick’s Gin will also donate some of profits from Hendrick’s Gin sales to GTAF Asian Elephants (www.helpingelephants.org).
