Peppers to Launch in Asia with Rebrand of Sentosa Seminyak

Australian hoteliers, Mantra Group, continue to forge ahead with expansion plans in Asia, announcing that Sentosa Seminyak will join its Peppers brand in March.

The world-class villa resort to be known as Peppers Sentosa Seminyak is the second property for the Group in Indonesia joining the newly built Mantra Nusa Dua which opened late 2012.

Peppers is Mantra Group's boutique collection of 28 retreats and resorts across Australia and New Zealand.

"We are very proud to have a resort the quality of Sentosa Seminyak carry the Peppers name," said Mantra Group CEO, Bob East.

"To see the brand evolve from a group of small boutique retreats some 30 years ago to then include larger scale resorts in Australia and New Zealand, and now move into Asia is a historic occasion."

Peppers Sentosa Seminyak comprises 49 three, four and five bedroom luxury villas (177 rooms in total) each with private swimming pools set amidst lush tropical gardens and lotus ponds with a large poolside Bale for relaxation and massages.

A fully equipped gourmet kitchen and spacious living areas ensure a private haven for guests to relax and unwind, whilst the resort's central location within walking distance to Seminyak's designer boutiques and superb restaurants allows for easy exploration of the local area.

Celebrated Australian chef, Luke Mangan's on-site signature restaurant, Salt tapas & bar, helmed by talented Sydney chef Angus Harrison, offers a highly praised menu incorporating fresh local produce and spices ideal for sharing, complemented by an extensive wine list.

The restaurant provides an ideal venue for events and due to the size of the villas - from 450 square metres for a three bedroom villa and up to a massive 1070 square metres for the four bedroom duplex villa - small meetings and incentives can be well catered for.

The Spa at Sentosa offers a holistic approach to wellbeing, offering an extensive list of beauty treatments and massages to wellness therapies and healing treatments as well as full scale wellness escapes including nutrition, yoga and detox treatments.

Another two Peppers and Mantra properties in Indonesia are in the pipeline for Mantra Group and expected to be announced in the first half of 2014.

The Peppers brand started some 30 years ago with the opening of Peppers Guest House in the Hunter Valley.  What began as a group of small boutique retreats now includes a host of luxury holiday resorts and the beginnings of a network of metropolitan based hotels.

Retreats include the iconic Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat in Daylesford and Peppers Craigieburn Bowral through to the impressive resort style accommodation at Peppers Salt Resort in Kingscliff and Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove.

The brand's first foray into metropolitan locations has been a great success with the opening of Peppers Broadbeach in 2010 which has continually won TripAdvisor Travellers Choice awards since opening.  Further CBD openings are scheduled including Peppers Dunmore Brisbane and Peppers Docklands Melbourne in 2016.
